Job Description : Electrical System Designer / EngineerDivision : Landing System (Primarily Landing Gear, Software Developed Separately)Hours per Week : 37.5 hoursLocation : Ajax, ONRemote Work Policy : On-site during the first month for integrationHybrid : 3 days on-site, 2 days remote (flexible)Position : Electrical System Designer / EngineerTeam Size : 16 members in total system teamProject Context : Military project involving the development and delivery of 3 new landing gears, plus one updateDay-to-Day Responsibilities : Collaborate with the customer to refine functional and technical requirements for electrical and control systems related to landing gearDesign schematics and wiring diagramsDevelop electrical architecture solutionsProvide support to the control teamLiaise with the end customer to ensure requirement alignmentUtilize Simulink and MATLAB for system modeling and designCandidate Requirements : Must-Haves : Experience with aircraft certification (ATA 32 preferred, but experience in any of the following ATAs is acceptable : 22, 27, 39, 42, 46, 45)Familiarity with ARP 4754 (Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems)Strong background in control and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in system activation and designIntegration experience : Ability to understand customer specifications and comprehend how aircraft and its subsystems function as a wholeNice-to-Have : Specific expertise in ATA 32 (Landing Gear Systems) is a strong asset but not mandatory if the candidate possesses expertise in other required areas
