Junior Accounting Clerk

Position : Junior Accounting ClerkLocation : Downtown Toronto (On-Site) Salary : $45,000 per year Job Type : Permanent Our client, a well-established law firm in downtown Toronto, is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk to join their team. This role involves issuing cheques, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting the firm's daily accounting operations.We welcome applications from new graduates with accounting co-op experience!Key Responsibilities : - Issue cheques from Trust and General accounts- Post Sundry Disbursements and process cheque deposits- Handle credit card payments and post transactions- Convert Westlaw charges for proper formatting and posting- Assist with client billing, write-offs, trust transfers, and wire transactions- Manage lost / stale-dated cheques and bank notifications- Support bank reconciliations and financial reporting- Train new employees on accounting procedures- Maintain accounting records and manage postage meter fundsQualifications : - Degree or diploma in Accounting or a related field- 3-6 months of experience with accounting principles- Strong Excel skills (testing required)- Willingness to learn and adapt quicklyPlease forward a polished resume to Angelica Stewart at [email protected] A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
