Technical Competencies :

  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to construction sites, as well as exploration and mining sites.
  • Thorough understanding of the various stages of a construction project (studies, bidding, contract negotiation, execution, and cost management).
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with Office suite software.
  • Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Act as the company's representative.
  • Actively participate in the required studies for the design and realization of the Windfall project (economic evaluation, prefeasibility study, feasibility study, etc.).
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the execution of all construction work at the Windfall project site, in accordance with the planned objectives and business plan.
  • Establish the objectives and budgets of their unit.
  • Develop execution schedules, monitor work progress, and write reports.
  • Participate in the development of their unit's procedures and standards and ensure their proper application by the teams under their responsibility.
  • Lead and mobilize multidisciplinary teams overseeing civil engineering, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work to achieve the objectives while respecting the planned schedules and budget.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of activities under their responsibility to determine if the personnel, materials, and techniques used are sufficient and make corrections as needed.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for the personnel under their responsibility.
  • Review construction work invoices and approve payments.
  • Maintain quality professional relationships with all different partners and stakeholders of the Windfall project.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the board of directors and senior management.
  • Recommend operational changes to senior management to ensure procedures are followed and objectives are met.
  • Support their teams during investigations and analyses related to health and safety events and ensure they are completed rigorously within the prescribed deadlines.
  • Act as a leader in safety, environment, and community relations to participate in achieving the highest standards.
  • Always respect health and safety and environmental policies and rules and ensure their compliance by all personnel they supervise.
