What you’ll do

  • Efficiently coordinate projects, achieving goals and meeting timelines
  • Act as administrative support for the project and / or Project Manager, including meeting preparation, calendar management, and documentation management
  • Prepare minutes, agendas, logistics, project deliverables, and other documentation
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and associated financial documents
  • Professionally engage with a wide range stakeholders
  • Identify, collect, and analyze project information and provide input and recommendations to project team
  • Help dissemination of project information

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Health or Social Sciences, or Business Administration plus 2-3 years in a Project Coordinator or Policy Analyst role in a health, social services, government, or community organization
  • High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in complex environments within ambiguity
  • A high level of resourcefulness and ability to work cohesively in a team
  • Strong understanding of practical project management practical skills
  • Qualities including : creativity and innovation; sound judgment; tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a demanding and dynamic environment;

effective negotiation, conflict management and consensus-building skills; excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have : Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
