Job description

Role : Human Resources Technician

Status : Permanent

Location : Montreal, QC

Our client is dynamic, constantly growing and evolving is currently looking for a bilingual Human Resources Technician to join their team in the Montreal area.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct administrative support to the Human Resources Manager for all HR related matters
  • Oversee and actively contribute to the entire recruitment cycle
  • Manage learning and development practices
  • Provide quality service to all employees by professionally handling all complaints and inquiries
  • Contribute to the implementation of human resources strategies, policies, procedures and programs.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of all day-to-day human resources functions in order to achieve departmental and organizational objectives
  • Provide appropriate advice on legal issues and compliance with market labor laws
  • Oversee the payroll process
  • Oversee employee group insurance program
  • Update and maintain employee benefits and employment status
  • Participate in other human resources projects and tasks as required
  • Contribute to the development of human resources policies and procedures
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process (from identification of needs to selection of candidates and presentation of offer)
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to general management
  • Manage training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and communication with managers, trainers and customer representatives
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback and address concerns related to training initiatives
  • Oversee the development of learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, virtual sessions and multimedia presentations
  • Manage evaluation measures and methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs

The required qualifications :

  • Human Resources / Business Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
  • CHRP Certification Preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources Role
  • Knowledge of CNESST laws
  • Positive and proactive approach towards solving problems and meeting challenges
  • Must possess effective oral and written communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Ability to deal with confidential information and interact with all levels of employees
  • Excellent computer skills
