Job Description
Responsible for the production and cooking of food for Patient Food Services. Responsible for the monitoring of food quality throughout the preparation, cooking and serving process.
This includes following standardized recipes, ensuring proper portion control, plating, food temperature monitoring and recording and appearance.
Maintains the cleanliness of all work areas, refrigerators, blast chiller and other equipment. Ensure that while working in all production and service areas that proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
Temperatures are monitored throughout all preparation and cooking processes in conjunction with HACCP guidelines.

- 1-2 year Culinary College Diploma required.
- Food Service experience required
- Food Handler s Certification required.
- Knowledge of industrial cooking equipment required
- Knowledge of WHMIS + HACCP regulations required
- Experience with large-scale meal production and bulk food assembly required
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and multiple production responsibilities
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
Additional Information
Hours : Monday-Sunday; days, hour shifts; 09 : 30 - 17 : 30, every other weekend (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
