Job description

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in construction and project management

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects

Leadership qualities to collaborate with multiple teams of different disciplines

Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery

Report and plan writing skills

Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment

Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to form strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Advanced facilitation skills in both large and small groups.

Tasks and responsibilities

Development of project execution plan for the project

Verification of the assumptions that underpin the execution strategy through further detailed analysis of service provider, construction and material supply markets where appropriate to inform the PEP.

Development of the contracting strategy to enable execution of the procurement tasks related to that strategy, including framing of commercial approaches

Alignment of the project risk profile to the execution and contracting strategies employed, including ongoing risk management practices where required

Management of project functions in support of the delivery of project related work effort for development and delivery of the scope of work

Delivery of strategies for an integrated outcome from engineering to ops ramp up

Lead the development of the cost, scope and schedule for the project to ensure alignment with the project objectives and PEP.

Delivery of the integrated cost and schedule for the project, in collaboration with the Area Managers (scope / cost / schedule owners) and the project controls team (process owners), ensuing full integration of execution of strategies and plans.

Technical skills

Detailed understanding of the project management lifecycle for projects of >

1B, and the critical leading indicators for success, as outlined by IPA

Detailed understanding of the engineering, procurement and construction management processes, as they relate to defining the execution strategy and execution plans

Detailed understanding of the project controls processes, as they relate to the generation of project information with regards to cost, schedule, risk and scope management.
