Our team is located at 73 Leikin Drive and at 1200 Vanier Parkway, in Ottawa. Remote work is not an option for these positions.

Intent of the process

A pool of candidates will be established and used to staff similar positions within the Canadian Firearms Program in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives

Experience

  • communicating with individuals to assist them in a client service environment

Experience conducting research and analyses

Experience

  • using databases or a variety of software programs, such as Microsoft Office
  • Experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of activities associated with full-time performance of duties for a period of approximately one year.
  • If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

    Experience reviewing court documents or police reports.

    Experience working with police databases, such as CPIC or PROS.

    Willing and able to work overtime and variable hours as required.
