McMaster Children's Hospital (MCH) is part of the HHS family of hospitals. MCH serves a community of 2.3 million people from south central Ontario and beyond. The Pediatric Neurology Program is an ambulatory clinic of the Specialty Pediatric Services at MCH. The program provides an interprofessional approach with expertise in Neurology education and management.

Position Summary

The Psychologist in the Pediatric Neurology Program, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, provides assessment for children referred for various cognitive, learning, and behavioural challenges. Knowledge and experience in the assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders (specifically autism) is a vital asset.

Qualifications

Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an accredited university

Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist, or Psychologist In Supervised Practice, with the College of Psychologists of Ontario

Clinical training and current experience in psychological assessment and diagnosis of children and youth.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively

Demonstrated strength in written communication skills
