The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. This role is responsible for ensuring all orders are accurately invoiced and shipped at the end of each day, maintaining adherence to operational standards, KPIs, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong experience in warehouse operations, workforce management, and continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S methodology, multi-order picking, and process optimization. The Supervisor will also act as a backup for the Warehouse Manager, ensuring seamless operations in their absence.

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience in dental or medical supply distribution is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in managing people (full time and temporary team members)

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and be physically active throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse setting with fluctuating workloads and schedules
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Daily Warehouse Operations & Order Fulfillment :

  • Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure all orders are properly invoiced and shipped before the end of each day.
  • Manage daily workflow, ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment aligned with company SLAs.
  • Oversee and enforce adherence to operational standards, best practices, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct end-of-day warehouse closure procedures, ensuring security and compliance.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with 5S methodology, maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse.
  • Lead multi-order picking initiatives, optimizing picking accuracy and speed.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, collaborating with the Warehouse Manager to implement best practices.
  • Assist in cycle counting programs to maintain high inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
  • Workforce Leadership & Engagement :

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to warehouse associates, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members.
  • Actively participate in employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and training.
  • Managerial Backup & Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Act as a backup for the Warehouse Manager, ensuring uninterrupted leadership during absences.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Large Equipment Sales teams to ensure smooth order processing and issue resolution.
  • Support technology and automation initiatives, including Warehouse Management System (WMS) enhancements.
