Scope :
Under the direction of the Founder & President, the Event Manager will lead and contribute to projects for various client accounts of varying scope. The manager will also be responsible for general event and administrative support.
Job Responsibilities :
- Supporting the strategic design and development of client programs, including (but not limited to) project ideation and management, budget management, event logistics, venue and vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, registration, content and creative, onsite execution, post-event surveys and de-briefs, etc.
- Assist in the creation of proposal documents and event briefs.
- Managing the registration support hotline, via phone and email, to assist event attendees with all inquiries.
- Executing attendee courtesy call campaigns to ensure event details are communicated.
- Support the research, evaluation and procurement of any required event vendors ranging from décor to onsite registration systems to entertainment, among others.
- Post-event reconciliation and analysis of budgets, event attendance and other key metrics in preparation for debrief presentations.
- Assisting with the scheduling, note-taking, and note distribution for client planning meetings as required.
- Comfortable leading client meetings and / or presenting to key stakeholders etc.
- Using Microsoft Office products and Google Docs to create templates, planning & tracking documents, reconciliation documents and summaries.
- Onsite event management and execution including logistics documents, schedules, registration, set-up, tear-down, venue and vendor management, production, food and beverage, etc.
- Additional administrative duties such as maintaining onsite event supply inventory, answering and directing phone calls, managing couriers and shipments as required and other general event and office support.
- Regular cuddles and playtime with our Chief Cuddle Officer ;)

Morkie puppy.Qualifications :
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event managementUniversity degree and / or college diploma in events, marketing, or a related fieldFamiliarity with event software (ex. Cvent, Eventbrite, Bizzabo, Reg Online, etc.)Familiarity with virtual event platforms (ex. Zoom, Hopin, Airmeet, EventMobi, Cvent, Swapcard etc.)Valid driver’s license and passport and able to travel between Canada and the United StatesPhysical Demands, including environment :
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel.Some of the work of this position may be performed outdoors in varying climate conditions.May be required to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.Hybrid Arrangement : This position will spend 1-2 days in office (Monday & Wednesday) and the rest (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) working from home.
Target Start Date : March 17, 2024
Compensation : Commensurate with experience.
