Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Performance, the Senior Performance Analyst serves as a consultant and business solutions specialist to the organization, leading and implementing improvements in business processes and performance practices. The Senior Performance Analyst monitors organizational effectiveness based on performance results to recommend solutions aligned with the business improvement cycle and works with senior leaders from across the organization in the establishment of performance standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performance Management and Measurement :
- Supports all business units to drive the effective selection, development, implementation, and integration of analytics and KPIs.
- Oversees development of reporting dashboards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitates leadership and executive performance review meetings to drive actionable outcomes towards strategic, corporate, and service objectives.
- Develops and maintain all corporate key performance indicators, analyzes data and creates reports.
- Creates models, conducts research, and analyzes actual business unit performance against targets in the operating, strategic, service plans as applicable.
- Maintains governance processes associated with key performance indicators.
Process Improvements
Leads cross-functional teams to complete corporate continuous process improvement initiatives.Works with stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunitiesAnalyzes and models the current state of services and processes using relevant modelling techniques such as Swim-lane, and Value Stream Mapping.Analyses root cause of business problems and recommends corrective action.Proficient in facilitating desired state and associated gap analysis; andIdentifies and recommends possible efficiency gains to business unit management and monitors the organization’s progress on achieving the intended benefits.Develops processes and standardized procedures for core business and service processes.Project Delivery :
Creates accurate business requirements documents and obtains stakeholder and senior management’s approval.Ensures all business and customer requirements / efficiencies, are being addressed by the project.Analyzes training needs and supports the development of training programs or modification / improvement to existing programs.Responsible for supervising junior analysts and mentoring other team members in the business analysis and project management disciplines.QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience :
Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration or a suitable combination of a degree and experience5+ years' work experience in an analytical, strategic planning, or project management role. Must have experience in performance reporting, analyzing data and process improvement.Project Management and / or Business Analysis CertificationContinuous Improvement Training / Certification is considered an asset and will be given preference.Master’s degree and Change Management Certifications are considered an asset.Minimum 3 years experience with :
Implementation and delivery of projects, having participated in all aspects of the project life cycle.Strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.Developing effective and efficient solutions to diverse and complex business problems.Interacting with senior management to document, analyze, and recommend solutions and process changes.Leading, training, and mentoring junior analysts and other staff.Performing adult education / training.Conducting cost benefit analysis; andExperience in service improvement and business process improvements.Technical / Job Specific Knowledge :
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts and experience with applications.Experience with report writing within Business Intelligence systems considered an asset.Extensive industry experience in business needs identification and assessment, solution delivery methodologies, tools, techniques and trends and business case development.Advanced proficiency in requirements gathering and documenting, business process modelling and improvement analysis.Working knowledge of project management and organizational change management concepts.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and diagramming tools such as MS Visio.An equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered.
