Richelieu Hardware is looking for an Outside Industrial Sales Representative for the Greater Toronto area. The suitable candidate must reside in the GTA.
Position Overview :
Under the supervision of the Industrial Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales activities and management of customer accounts within a set territory.
The successful applicant will establish and manage excellent client relationships that will generate sales growth while developing new clients to achieve further results within the assigned territory.
More specifically, your main tasks will be :
- To promote sales to industrial customers
- Be responsible for any existing sales and focus on new business development.
- Manage territory to achieve maximum productivity, while being conscious of costs.
- Territory will encompass the GTA and Southern Ontario.
- Achieve sales growth through diligence, training, and intelligent work habits.
- Meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining customer satisfaction and overall results.
- Service existing customer base, make sales calls on new potential customers and grow market share in the territory.
- Identify and prioritize high potential sales opportunities or sales gaps and provide possible solutions.
- Follow up with clients regularly.
- Keep up to date on industry trends, technologies, and advancements.
- Industry networking to maximize contact sharing and potential business opportunities.
- Monitor competitors, market conditions, and provide market intelligence to the sales manager.
- Develop, update and maintain customer information in the Richelieu customer relations management system on a daily basis.
- Actively participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
- Participate in trade shows and industry events as required. Participation during the occasional weekend or evening may be required.
- Perform other assigned tasks when required.
Requirements :
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal; additional language skills are an asset.
- Energetic sales professional or the desire to become one.
- Self-disciplined with a high sense of urgency and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency using computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Must have home office space with no distractions.
- Strong time management skills
- Goal oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Use of reliable personal vehicle, personal computer & tablet requiredThis position requires 75% in field road travel visiting clients
