In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating and evaluating training for learners and operators on various pieces of mobile equipment, including forklifts, aerial work platforms, and overhead cranes. As a representative of OSG, you will ensure that our courses are delivered with the highest quality and consistency. You will engage learners and draw on your experiences to reinforce learning outcomes, creating an environment that promotes safety and compliance. This is predominantly an in-person position, with training taking place at client sites and third-party locations. Travel is required based on client needs. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and Saturday work. We are seeking a Trainer & Evaluator based out of Mississauga, Vaughan, Brampton, or surrounding areas to service these regions. Key Responsibilities : Facilitate both in-person and online training courses, applying adult learning principles and best practices. Leverage your industry knowledge and practical experience to respond to participant questions with professionalism, sensitivity, and inclusivity. Evaluate operators on various mobile equipment, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies. Provide fair and consistent assessments of operators, offering pass / fail evaluations based on company standards and competencies. Complete administrative tasks, such as timesheets and expenses, accurately and promptly. Provide feedback to internal teams to ensure smooth, effective, and meaningful content delivery to clients. Qualifications : Certification in one of the following : Forklift, Aerial Work Platform, or Overhead Crane. Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred. 1+ years of experience in the Health and Safety industry, training evaluation, or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Canadian Standards Association, the Canada Labour Code, and other applicable Health and Safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Proficiency in Google Suite and a demonstrated willingness to embrace new technologies. A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision. A valid Ontario driver’s license and unrestricted access to a motor vehicle. Ability to travel across Southwestern Ontario, as needed, to visit client sites. A clear criminal background check.
