Job Description

Schedule : Daytime, Monday to Friday, with a flexible start time between 7 AM and 9 AM (37.5 hours per week).

Remote work :  Remote work is allowed at all times within this team, except for team meetings (once or twice a year).

The incumbent will be responsible for internal development work related to our central reservation system (CRS Radixx), particularly focusing on productivity and automation tools developed in recent years using Oracle / APEX.

Additionally, they will participate in needs analysis and the development of new productivity and automation solutions.

They will also provide recommendations to the Technology Infrastructure team regarding the optimization and management of the Oracle database and must have solid experience with Oracle SQL and Oracle / APEX.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop a trusted relationship with business partners and external solution providers
  • Respond to communications from internal clients
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze needs and propose tailored solutions
  • Design and develop robust, high-performance applications using APEX
  • Document, prioritize, and manage requirements throughout projects
  • Simplify and adapt information for different target audiences to facilitate understanding and, when necessary, decision-making
  • Ensure the optimization, maintenance, and security of the Oracle database
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot incidents, and propose improvement plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the airline and travel industry
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Oracle database administration
  • Expertise in Oracle APEX development
  • Strong skills in PL / SQL
  • Solid understanding of database optimization concepts (indexing, partitioning, optimized SQL queries, etc.)
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a demanding clientele
  • Objective, analytical, and detail-oriented

  • Additional Information

  • A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
