POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for the timely compilation of information specifically related to all facets of international cross border customs clearances. This role is also responsible for maintaining United States – Mexico – Canada Agreement (USMCA) certificates for all cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with US, Canada and International authorities, preparing customs invoices, and ensuring data within Oracle is updated according to all regulations required for lawful movement of goods to our facilities, our customers and our partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Review all new parts and investigate proper tariff classification and countries of origin and update Oracle accordingly

Create customs processes and expand Custom-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) compliance throughout The Group

Audit, correct and file Customs entries and amendments

Prepare and collect yearly USMCA certificates of origin and audit as needed

Assure customs and shipping documentation is completed correctly and in compliance with regulations

Assure that requests from governmental agencies are responded to and addressed in a timely manner

Support brokerage service providers with information requests and / or tariff and regulations compliance documentation as well as address issues related to same

Review brokerage invoices on a timely basis with management

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :

Licensed Customs Broker designation considered an asset

University or college graduate with studies relevant to Logistics preferred

7+ years Customs experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to multi-task with minimum supervision

Good interpersonal and communication skills : oral and written

Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of Products, especially Excel

Problem solver with strong data manipulation and analysis skills

The ability to travel up to 10% of the time
