Position Summary This role falls within our Modern Infrastructure team and is primarily responsible for the delivery of projects in support of our clients.
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Services Delivery and works 40 hours per week, with typical business hours being 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm Monday to Friday.
Balancing multiple project priorities with deadlines is a requirement and there may be a requirement for after-hours work and or travel depending on project needs .
Nature of the Work The Modern Infrastructure Architect works in a collaborative method with peers and clients to design and deliver managed services and IT projects through all project phases, including presales.
The incumbent will be required to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in translating business requirements into technical solutions, while communicating project needs, constraints, and successes.
The position reports to the Senior Manager, Service Delivery.

Technical Delivery Provide delivery expertise, and direction to projects and other IT team members Deliver IT support, project planning, and technical delivery services to a broad range of clients Assist with and take the lead on projects from initial assessment, through planning, design, and implementation Deploy and manage technology solutions built on Microsoft Azure Networking, Cloud Network Infrastructure and On-Premises Connectivity Virtual Machines and Virtual Machine Management Backup and Recovery Disaster Recovery Logging and Monitoring Automation and Configuration Management Platform Services including App Services, Application Gateway, and others Kubernetes or other container technologies an asset Experience with scripting and infrastructure as code Strong knowledge of on-premises Microsoft and associated technologies Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, Azure AD Connect, SQL Implement virtualization solutions leveraging VMware and Hyper-V including the deployment and maintenance of server, storage, and backup solutions Project and ad hoc escalation support for Tier 3 type issues Qualifications / Expertise 10+ years’ relevant work experience Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and synchronization mechanisms.
VCP or equivalent experience Strong understanding of technical fundamentals and delivery, as it relates to project delivery Continuing education and training a must
Work with Project Managers and Managed Services Coordinators to prioritize and complete project, managed services, and operational services deliverables including all related documentation.
Respond to technical escalations from Client Experience team and other Technical / SME teams within defined IXS SLO’s.
Complete regular Professional Development related to team’s technical purview.
Stay up to date with the latest technology trends, vulnerabilities, releases related to their team’s technical purview.
Pass certification exams and complete training as appropriate to demonstrate skillset to clients and foster strong vendor relationships Develop, document, and maintain processes and procedures, sometimes with the help of an ‘enabling team’, related to their project delivery & managed services within their team’s technical purview.
Maintain team-owned best practices and standards and communicates them to other teams.
Generally expected to be ‘always-on-call’ for escalations.
