Construction Claim Manager, Infrastructure & Capital Projects

Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over than 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and project leaders to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

Our Canadian team is looking for a Manager specializing in Construction Claims and Forensic Scheduling to join our team and support clients in claims resolution and loss prevention.

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the execution of claims and dispute resolution projects within the infrastructure sector, ensuring accurate analysis, timely delivery, and effective client communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, consolidate, and analyze data.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effectively presenting claims and resolving disputes, while adhering to industry best practices and relevant regulations.
  • Lead meetings and discussions with clients, stakeholders, and legal teams to communicate complex information and support dispute resolution processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the construction industry, providing valuable insights and guidance in dispute matters.
  • Apply established delay analysis methodologies and perform schedule delay calculations and schedule quality reviews for major projects.
  • Develop analytical reports based on the schedule delay findings.
  • Participate in industry events and forums to expand professional networks and stay informed about industry developments.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential claims or disputes and work proactively to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience in claims and dispute resolution within the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in best practices and methods of construction claim analysis and forensic schedule delay analysis, in particular the AACE Method Implementation Protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel) and platforms for claims and dispute resolution analysis.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, tailored for interactions within the infrastructure and legal contexts.
  • Willingness to travel, as needed.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards in the construction industry.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
