Looking to join a local law firm that offers a competitive salary with some flexibility to work partly from home? Our client in Surrey is actively hiring for a Legal Administrative Assistant with experience in Wills and Estates.
- This role will be responsible for preparing and editing correspondence and legal documents; Calendar / schedule management;
- Maintain and organize client files; Carry out correspondence and communication with internal and external clients; Draft a variety of court documents including (not limited to) Notice of Civil Claim, Notice of Family Claim, Bill of Costs, Affidavits, List of Documents, Full preparation for Examinations for Discovery, Mediation and / or Trial;
Setting court dates, discoveries and communicating with registries; Handling and preparing Wills and Estate planning files, Power of attorney, Representation agreements, Advance directives etc.
Job Requirements :
- The successful candidate will have post secondary education in LAA and at least 3 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant ideally including in wills and estates;
- proactive, organized, detailed and have the ability to manage deadlines; the ability to multi task with a high degree of accuracy;
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills; A professional work ethic, a great attitude, and the ability to adapt to varying expectations;
fluent in English, Punjabi an asset
