Front-End Developer

12 Contract Position

Montreal,QC

  • Looking for Senior Front-end Developer.
  • 7+ years of candidates.
  • 4+ years of experience in ReactJS or Redux.
  • Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Front end technology especially Java script.
  • Mongo DB is nice to have.
  • They will be converting their databases to MongoDB.
  • Candidate must work independently.
  • Two rounds of interviews.
  • Last round onsite for 3 hours with 6 panel members.
  • Local to Montreal.
  • Knowledge of Data structures.
  • Understanding of Figma concepts.

Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering
  • 7-15 years of experience in Web UI development
  • 4+ years of experience in ReactJs / Redux.
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficient in JavaScript ES6, ReactJs, Redux, CSS3, HTML 4&5, Bootstrap, HTTP, Cookies, nodejs, cypress, React Testing Library.
  • Experience in performance tuning, code profiling, hands on experience using design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with Cucumber and cypress (or other end to end testing library), practiced test-driven development (TDD) and behaviour-driven development (BDD).
  • Experience with of JIRA, Git, code review, CI / CD and Agile development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of UI / UX design principles, experience with Figma or other design tools.
  • Working knowledge of Unix / Linux.

    • Nice to have :

  • Working knowledge of MongoDB, relational database.
  • Working knowledge of Java, SpringBoot.

    The team follows agile principles and has a strong product owner team which allows for close collaboration with the business users. The system is being heavily invested in with new feature development, as well as incorporating devops practices and performance improvements.

    We are looking for an experienced, hands-on front-end developer to work in a team of 20 people, consists of front end, back end, full stack developers and QA. Members on the team have direct access to the business users and must be able to juggle multiple priorities at a given time.

    The candidate needs to be a self-starter, smart, and a highly motivated team player with effective communication skills. In addition, the candidate must value producing quality software and have a solid grounding in computer science fundamentals.

    We would need someone who can assume responsibility for projects within the system. Their goal will be to clarify business requirements, and ensure consistent, clean code is implemented with timely delivery. The right candidate should enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment that values teamwork and offers a lot of flexibility as long as productivity and quality is there.
