On behalf of our client, Matchbox Consulting is seeking a AP / AR Clerk to join their growing team in Vancouver, BC. Our client is active in acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate for over 50 years.
Core Responsibilities
Full cycle of accounts payable by processing payments, verifying and reconciling invoices, including the verification of rates on the invoices, obtaining approvals.
Data entry of invoices in an accurate and timely manner
Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and statement discrepancies, and missing invoices.
Print cheques, send them for signature and mail them to suppliers.
Reconciliation of accounts payable vendor balances, and review balances over 90 days outstanding.
Government filings such as GST, PST.
Reconciliation of and bank accounts.
Prepare related party invoices and payments.
Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions.
Assist with the year-end audit process including preparation of working paper and analysis.
Assist in preparation of CAM budgets and reconciliations.
Perform other duties as assigned or required
Experience Required :
About 1 year of Accounts Payable experience is preferred.
Experience within a high-volume environment.
Solid attention to detail, proactively following up when needed to ensure outstanding information or actions are completed on time.
Analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter who will take ownership of responsibilities, knows when to ask for help and is comfortable doing so
