Overview

Regional Sales Manager Recreation

Our client is a leading manufacturer of recreation equipment. They are seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager responsible for growing and managing distribution channels, developing those relationships and expanding customer base.

The role is responsible for leading a team of direct and independent sales reps and promoting growth.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a sales team (direct and independent sales reps)
  • Assist with hiring and training new agencies, conduct field rides as needed
  • Review existing distribution channels, identify business development opportunities
  • Establish and maintain client and agency relationships
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, in support of the organization’s growth initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and market trends; analyze and report findings
  • Identify, develop and influence business opportunities; lead sales programs
  • Assist with sales and marketing materials
  • Develop market opportunities by visiting clients and agencies as well as tracking performance
  • Lead client communication efforts, develop creative initiatives to meet client needs / requirements and provide conflict resolution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and market
  • Attend and conduct sales meetings and trade shows

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Min. 3+ years Sales experience working with agencies, independent reps required
  • Seeking backgrounds in recreation sales, construction sales and / or building material sales
  • Bilingual French a plus
  • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team (direct and independent sales reps)
  • Documented of performance and sales success
  • Excellent Problem Solving & Communication skills
  • Strong Negotiation & Analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM
  • Ability to travel 50%, some overnights

Offering :

  • Base Salary $120,000 $135,000 CAD (based on experience)
