About the position :
As a member of the VCM Faculty, Strings Department, this position will include teaching primarily at the VCM location in Westhills, Langford, as well as some opportunities at VCM’s main Victoria downtown location. VCM Faculty positions are contracted under a standard teaching agreement as independent service providers to the VCM.

About the Victoria Conservatory of Music
As a place of learning for the whole community, the VCM welcomes students of all ages and musical abilities, and offers instruction in all musical genres including classical, folk, jazz, rock, and other popular / contemporary genres.
The Ann & George Nation Conservatory School of Classical Music (CSCM) is home to the traditionally rigorous training Western European Classical Music has been known for, and in a more modern context : teaching students to play well, with historically informed performance practice and depth of knowledge and interpretation about the music. The CSCM is comprised of the Faculty Departments : Keyboard, Voice, Winds & Brass, and Strings, as well as courses in Classical Theory, and the high-level Young Artists Collegium, Opera Studio, and Advanced Voice Workshop programs. The Strings Department encompasses a faculty of currently 32 members, offering Studio Instruction, Instrumental Group Classes, and Ensembles for all levels from beginner to postsecondary, in the disciplines of violin, viola, Violin, contrabass, guitar, flute, and harp.
