Position Overview :
Monitors activities and / or classes.
Responsibilities :
- Monitors class participants and leads activities; ensures safe practices.
- Assembles supplies and equipment as required.
- Completes records and reports including class attendance and accident / incident reports.
- Ensures safe use, condition, and storage of equipment.
- Completes room sets up including lifting and moving tables, nets, chairs or any program equipment as required.
- Distributes applicable forms and program information (., general information, brochures).
- Adheres to policies and procedures established for City of Kitchener facilities.
- Reviews emergency procedures with participants and follows established procedures during emergencies.
- Responds to patrons immediate concerns and / or needs and provides customer service.
- Acts as a liaison between the community centre and participants.
- Completes records and reports including accident / incident reports.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- Equivalent to partial secondary school education.
- Up to 1 month of related experience.
- Provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check at your own expense as a condition of employment (applicable to instructors of children and youth programs).
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
