Senior Business Analyst (OTC)

Job Title : Senior Business Analyst (OTC)

Location : Mississauga- 3 days - Hybrid

Job Description :

• Strong domain knowledge on OTC derivatives, markets.
• Experience with FpML is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in SQL / No-SQL database related technologies
• Experience in writing SQL in Hive, Impala
• Experience writing complex queries spanning multiple tables is required.
• Working knowledge of performance tuning of database queries (understanding the inner working of the query optimizer, query plans, indexes, partitions etc.).
• Exposure to scripting language like shell scripting, python.

Responsibilities :

1. Primary responsibility would be to review modify XSDs for data modeling on OTC derivatives, markets.

2. The resource will be involved in working on implementation and governance of Controls on markets data on Cloudera / big data platform.

3. Working with source systems that publish transactions to Cloudera data platform and perform RCA on controls failed.

4. Day to day activity would involve working extensively on complex SQLs that are run on Hive / IMPALA DB

5. Running data analysis on controls implemented, issues identified and implement fixes.
