For more information, please visit www.Brandsunlimited.Ca Details / description below : Knowledge of overseas logistics & coordinator (container booking / routing, documentation, dealing with ocean freight forwarders, customs, HS codes, duties, etc.)Must be self-motivated with a strong ability to work autonomously (Only one person in your department)Energetic Strong attention to detailKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong problem solving / negotiation skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsWork with Management and Creative department team to develop items & place orders according to time linesDemonstrate the ability to solve problems effectivelyStrong sense of teamwork and collaborationLeadership & Management skillsThrives under pressure and in fast-paced environments. Recognized as a strong collaborator and communicator Expected peak season for this position is from March until NovemberResponsibilities / duties below : Responsible for maximizing each container by consolidating various orders (mainly work with 40’ HC containers) and shipping the cargo efficiently according to deadlines Working with multiple freight forwarders to select the best one based on not only their price of containers but on transit time, routing and any related inland costs Issuing & managing purchase orders to suppliers, deposits & final payments Resolving problems with supplier for any issues that arises with their orders Thorough understanding of international shipping and customs documentationTracking the cargo on freight forwarder or carrier websites and updating the necessary shared documents within the company so that all departments can do their work efficiently according to what they need from this shared documentApproval of all department related invoices (freight forwarder, trucking, customs) to be submitted to accountingBenefits / Advantages of working at Brands Unlimited : - Flexible with work hours ( Typical work hours are 9- 5pm but you can start earlier if you wish)- Flexible with personal appointments, can make up your time later- Close knit work environment with all departments and staff- Family runed business with a total of 9 employees- Animal advocates & bring our family dog Ginger to work most days (relieves stress and therapeutic) - Company offers fully covered health insurance which means nothing is deducted from your paycheck for this insurance, this would be applied to you after you pass 3 months of probation covering you, your spouse & children if applicable- 30 minute paid lunches - Once summer hours start, we offer our staff to leave 1 hour early on Fridays on us- Happy & calm work environment, we have had the same staff working here for many years!
