GFL Environmental is currently hiring Full-time Labourers (Assistant Operators) for our location based out of Hamilton, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operating equipment and tools;
- Assist with emergency & spill response;
- Pressure blasting & washing;
- Remediation of contaminated areas;
- Confined space, working at heights.
- Tank Cleaning.
- Securing and safely loading / unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies;
- Secure work area and set up traffic control;
- Other duties as required.
- Pumping station operating, and digester experience are an asset.
Knowledge, skills and competencies :
- Professional and positive attitude;
- Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met;
- Strong regard for safety and safe work practices;
- G class drivers’ license with a clean abstract.
- Accept change and be adaptable to different work environments;
- Fall Protection / Working at Heights and Confined Space experience an asset.
