Community Occupational Therapist

• Qualifications :
• Masters degree of Occupational Therapy (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years Experience in field work as an Occupational Therapist
• ADP Authorizer is preferred but not required
• Great communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate and think critically (both written and verbal skills)
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (must be in good standing)
• Responsibilities :
• Complete community assessments and implement an effective treatment plan for patients (Non MVA files)
• Ensure that all patient’s needs are met
• Collaborate with other team members and health care professionals when needed.
• Documentation-charting to ensure excellent communication in a timely manner
• Identify the need for any beneficial / assistive device for the patient – support with the coordination of the delivery and installation of these devices
