The AWS Sales Insights, Analytics, Data Engineering and Science (SIADS) Startup team is looking for a talented, driven, self-directed Senior Insights Product Manager to join an organization that is responsible for driving adoption of the AWS platform by startups around the world.

This is a unique opportunity, in a fast-growing business, to provide insights to our field teams and leaders who are helping customers build lean, innovative new companies today and turn them into the enterprises of tomorrow.

Specifically, you will define, build and scale Business Intelligence and Analytics products that allow us to Get, Grow and Keep GenAI startups on AWS.

You will work closely with members of Sales, Business Development, Operations and Finance teams to ensure we are sourcing, validating and surfacing internal and external third-party data to make informed business decisions.

You will collaborate with engineers to build self-service reports and establish automated processes for large scale data analyses.

You should consider applying if you are passionate about data research & analysis, extracting and manipulating data (using SQL, Python or advanced Excel features), and producing actionable insights and business intelligence through compelling visualizations and story-telling.

This job requires strong communication and project management skills to work with key stakeholders and business partners, understand requirements, and deliver analytics products.

The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical personas, as well as across other geographies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own and deliver complex analyses, key reports, and dashboards and recommendations including but not limited to tracking of sales goals, KPIs and forecasts and operational performance.
  • Build insights from 1P data (AWS’ historical business data) and 3P data (sourced from multiple external data providers) to acquire the best GenAI Startups for AWS.
  • Own innovation, development and delivery of actionable insights built on reliable, secure data. This includes creating and coordinating user acceptance test plans for dashboards, advising on best practices and actionable insights based on analysis.
  • Comfortably and skillfully flex among various tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, and Excel, as needed and appropriate for the analytical ask and timing context.
  • The ability to integrate data from multiple disparate backend data sources.
  • Partner with data engineering and BI engineering teams to source internal and external data for reporting, analytics and business insights delivery.
  • Work closely with Sales operations staff to optimize business processes and operations.
  • Continuously review and optimize operational processes and seek opportunities to reduce transactional workload through deep dive and gap analysis, providing leadership recommendations for system integration and automation projects.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets and experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services, as well as owning technology products which includes managing feature delivery and the tradeoffs of a product

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs and influence senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience in balancing conflicting priorities dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines
  • Experience building and analyzing cost / benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
