Responsibilities :
Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in complianceRecruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positionsPlans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goalsKeeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as : new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reportingTrains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassmentAdvises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issuesResponds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsAdministers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organizationAdministers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organizationAdministers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistanceInvestigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrierConducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage ratePrepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separationsQualifications :
Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaBachelor's degree from a 4 year college or universityExperience in 3PL, Distribution or WarehousingMinimum 10 years related experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and trainingPC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAre you interested in this position?
