The Motive Battlefield team is looking for an experienced delivery and people manager, who is passionate about games and developing high performing teams.
The Director of Production holds it all together with a focus on people, process and planning. You will have a key role in creating an environment that enables our talented artists, designers, and engineers and teams to thrive and grow.
You will continuously optimize our team / development / business processes to ensure the smooth running of deliveries while building effective plans that deliver successful results.
As part of this, managing dependencies / risks / stakeholders through clear and timely communication will be core to the role.
Motive is looking for a Director of Production to work on the Battlefield™ Franchise.
Requirements
Project & Process Management Lead and facilitate the Agile ceremonies for the team (e.g. sprint planning, retros, backlog refinement, etc) and drive continuous improvement of Agile development practices within team(s).
Plans and manages deliveries from the team, incl. Risk, dependencies, critical paths, etc. Maintains team capacity and scope in alignment with the backlog and team velocity.
Coordinate work across multiple internal and external teams, across multiple locations, time zones and cultures. Identify tech or tools that would benefit your team, increasing scalability and advocates for obtaining (e.
g. Jira plugins, upgrades; code quality monitors (e.g. Coverity)
- People & Team Management Actively develops team(s) towards high-performance. Manages people directly, able to identify and manage personnel conflicts, comfortable with delivering candid feedback to individuals as well as aligning career goals with day-to-day work.
- Change Management Drives and executes change management initiatives within the team. Responsible for adoption and acceptance of change within the team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a scrum / project manager of technical deliveries and people management.
- Proven track record of leading on-time and at-quality deliveries from Agile development team(s), working in JIRA.
- Change leader, comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.
- Knows when to challenge a team and when to situationally adapt to the needs of others.
- Seasoned in project planning, capacity planning, dependency and risk management incl. mitigation techniques.
- People management, career development, helping individuals grow through coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback.
- Self-starter with focus on building trusting relationships, and experienced in building high-performing software development team(s).
- Strong communicator with focus on listening to understand and effective stakeholder management.
- Have passion, energy and enthusiasm to achieve results.
