Job description

Our sector specialized in Energy and in its transmission and distribution (T&D) is growing. This growth combined with obtaining major projects leads the organization to recruit several resources with a background or interest in working in this green and renewable field. We offer a flexible hybrid work model enabling you to work from home and from the Laval Montreal Longueuil or Gatineau office.

Primary Responsibilities

Visit sites to determine the nature of the work required
Carry out field surveys
Design overhead and / or underground power distribution networks
Produce drawings using AutoCAD software
Work with geographical information systems (GIS)
Carry out research on property rights and prepare easement requests
Estimate costs material quantities and manpower needs
Obtain permits from the appropriate authorities (municipal ministerial etc.)
Ensure onsite (fulltime) or occasional work supervision
Ensure close monitoring of projects
Work closely with clients

Qualifications :

Three (3) years of relevant experience

Attestation or diploma of college studies in civil engineering electrical engineering or telecommunications

Practical knowledge of AutoCAD software and MS Office suite

Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and strong client focus and service

Availability for shortterm travel to work sites up to 10% of the time

Fluency in oral and written French

Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle

Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) an asset

Knowledge of PLSCADD an asset
