Job description

Our sector specialized in Energy and in its transmission and distribution (T&D) is growing. This growth combined with obtaining major projects leads the organization to recruit several resources with a background or interest in working in this green and renewable field. We offer a flexible hybrid work model enabling you to work from home and from the Laval Montreal Longueuil or Gatineau office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Visit sites to determine the nature of the work required
  • Carry out field surveys
  • Design overhead and / or underground power distribution networks
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD software
  • Work with geographical information systems (GIS)
  • Carry out research on property rights and prepare easement requests
  • Estimate costs material quantities and manpower needs
  • Obtain permits from the appropriate authorities (municipal ministerial etc.)
  • Ensure onsite (fulltime) or occasional work supervision
  • Ensure close monitoring of projects
  • Work closely with clients

Qualifications :

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Attestation or diploma of college studies in civil engineering electrical engineering or telecommunications
  • Practical knowledge of AutoCAD software and MS Office suite
  • Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and strong client focus and service
  • Availability for shortterm travel to work sites up to 10% of the time
  • Fluency in oral and written French
  • Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of geographical information systems (GIS) an asset
  • Knowledge of PLSCADD an asset
