Candidates are invited to apply for the position of Business Development Representative, which can be in Eastern Quebec or New Brunswick

SGP is a Purchasing Network, an organization committed to providing unmatched customer service, comprehensive network support, and innovative solutions to the Senior Care Market.

The position has responsibility in three key areas : sales / marketing, program compliance and client retention. The position works closely with the Regional Director Sales Quebec and Atlantic Canada and SGP Sales / Purchasing team to design, implement and administer programs that support both short- and long-term strategic objectives of the Company.

Accountabilities :

  • Develop territory sales and achieve set objectives for assigned territory
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and industry associations.
  • Lead business development and client retention efforts in Eastern Quebec and New Brunswick to strategically drive sales and business development within the assigned territory.
  • Promote products and services through consultative selling within assigned customer segments.
  • Plan and execute growth-focused programs, including in-services, health education sessions, and regional meetings.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and networking events.
  • Manage chain accounts and conduct regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Analyze territory data to identify trends, optimize sales strategies, and inform decision-making.
  • Focus on expanding and strengthening the SGP base business by developing strong business relationships in a competitive market to drive client retention and revenue growth.
  • Oversee and manage the annual budget for territory activities and programs.
  • Provide insights into market trends, competitive landscape, and potential new product opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education & Language : Post-secondary education in business or healthcare services is required. Bilingual in French and English.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in business development or sales, preferably within LTC, retirement, or senior living sectors.
  • Travel : Willingness to travel domestically (25-30%) within Eastern Quebec and New Brunswick to engage with SGP Partners. Occasional weekend travel for company meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Business Development & Strategy : Proven ability to build and maintain strong business partnerships, develop annual business plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication & Leadership : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Customer Focus : Ability to anticipate and address customer needs while providing tailored solutions.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift sample products up to 30 lbs as needed.
