Project Manager - Major Projects

Matchbox Consulting is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for the Major Projects division for our client. Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking for the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, ranging from $5M to $100M?

What You'll Do :

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, general contractors, and end-users to ensure smooth project execution.
• Analyze complex contracts and ensure projects meet all contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Estimate project costs, manage tenders, and submit bids to secure new work.
• Oversee the financial performance of each project, including cost control, billing, and tracking.
• Purchase materials and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously while continuing to estimate for future opportunities.
• Be present on-site as needed to ensure the project runs smoothly and meets quality and safety standards.
• Utilize project management software to track progress and maintain project efficiency.
• Ensure safe work environments and stay up to date with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Follow closeout procedures to ensure a smooth and complete handover of projects.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the team’s success.

Who You Are :

• You have 3-5 years of experience in electrical project management and / or estimating.
• You are highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• You possess strong communication abilities and can easily navigate relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• You have in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, and are well-versed in industry best practices.
• You're experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously, from start to finish.
• You have proven experience with project cost control and financial tracking, ensuring projects stay within budget.
• You're proactive, anticipating and addressing issues before they become problems.
