Job description

Hays has partnered with an established Canadian design studio specializing in institutional, infrastructure, residential & mixed used projects is looking for a Contract Administrator to join their team in Calgary. They are a highly collaborative firm comprising of architects, students, interior designers, technical, and support staff, who take pride in their consultative approach work. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team-orientated company with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects.

  • this is an in office role when not on site

Responsibilities :

  • Maintaining regular communications with internal staff, contractors and clients daily throughout the construction period.
  • Managing the entire contract process, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers on contract-related issues.
  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure that all parties comply with contractual obligations.
  • Make routine site visits and provide the supporting documentation, follow up on site visit reports, and meeting summary.
  • Produce deficiency lists, sign the Certificate of Payment prepared by Administration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and databases.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with contracts and propose solutions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Ensure that all contract-related documents are properly executed and filed.
  • Qualifications :

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program.
  • 8-10+ years of CA experience, prior experience with contract documents is required.
  • Experience working on residential and mixed-use projects in the Calgary area is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients (internal & external).
  • The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $80,000 - $110,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus and extended benefits.
