Job Title : ControlM EngineerClient Location : Halifax, Nova ScotiaTop 3 skills required for this role : - Control-M administration- Job scheduling and automation- Workload managementThe Control-M Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of the Control-M workload automation platform. This role ensures the efficient and reliable scheduling and monitoring of critical business processes.Responsibilities : Control-M Administration : o Install, configure, and maintain Control-M servers, agents, and related components.o Manage Control-M environments, including upgrades, patches, and backups.o Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.o Manage user access and security permissions.Job Scheduling and Automation : o Design and implement complex job schedules and workflows using Control-M.o Develop and maintain Control-M jobs, folders, and smart folders.o Automate manual tasks and processes to improve efficiency.o Troubleshoot and resolve job scheduling issues.Workload Management : o Optimize workload distribution and resource utilization.o Implement and manage workload balancing and failover mechanisms.o Monitor and analyze job execution performance.o Implement control-M alerts, and notifications.Integration and Development : o Integrate Control-M with other systems and applications.o Develop and maintain Control-M scripts and utilities.o Utilize Control-M APIs for automation and integration.Troubleshooting and Support : o Provide technical support to users and resolve Control-M-related issues.o Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.o Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions.Documentation and Compliance : o Create and maintain accurate documentation of Control-M configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.o Ensure compliance with relevant security and audit requirements.Collaboration : Work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to ensure smooth job scheduling and execution
