Role and Facility Information
The Island Health Department of Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time General Radiologist for the North Island hospitals Comox Valley and Campbell River.
These facilities opened in the fall of 2017 and medical imaging services at both hospitals include : general x-ray, two fixed MRI, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, and interventional procedures, all within a fully functional PACS environment. Additionally, at the Comox Valley Hospital, there is nuclear medicine service.
Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology and full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
The position includes CT, MRI, US, DR, Fluoroscopy procedures, breast imaging, and basic non-vascular interventional procedures. The successful candidate may elect to reside in either Campbell River or Comox.

Benefits
Rural CME starting at $3,000 / annum in years 3 & 4 increasing to a maximum of $6,000 / annum after 4 years.
Compensation
Compensation Type Fee-for-Service.
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including : Retention Premium 6.09%, Retention Flat Fee $7,010, Relocation Funding Available up to a maximum of $15,000, Recruitment Incentive $10,000.
