Job description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in the manufacturing industry based in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Logistics Coordinator, your role will revolve around managing inventory and coordinating logistics, ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the inventory management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle inventory purchasing, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation and adjustments as needed.
  • Liaise effectively with the warehouse team to address any inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory movement within the network and oversee processes such as cycle count, stock take, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Control and monitor over, short, and damages physical inventory, taking necessary steps for resolution.
  • Manage incoming purchase orders (POs) and conduct the receiving process.
  • Oversee monthly PO management with suppliers.
  • Coordinate monthly inventory movement between warehouses.
  • Perform any other logistics related duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics coordination role within the manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to liaise effectively with team members, customers, and vendors
  • Proven customer service skills, with a focus on providing timely and accurate information to clients
  • Solid understanding of customs procedures and regulations, with experience in handling customs documentation
  • Experience in managing annual inventory processes, including annual physical inventory counts
  • Ability to coordinate logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Proficiency in Vendor Manage Inventory (VMI), able to work closely with vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, comfortable with using advanced functions for data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory reconciliation, able to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately.
