Job description

Our client, a well-established law firm in downtown Vancouver, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in corporate tax transactions and reorganization work.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and file corporate documents related to tax-driven transactions, including amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, and reorganizations.
  • Draft resolutions, agreements, and supporting documentation for tax reorganization matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and review corporate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax-related filings and reports.
  • Maintain and update corporate records, minute books, and share registers.
  • Coordinate with lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, and government agencies.
  • Research tax laws and regulations relevant to corporate transactions.
  • Manage deadlines for corporate compliance and tax-related filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of closing documents and transaction summaries.
  • Liaise with clients and external parties to collect necessary information and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on tax reorganizations.
  • A recognized Paralegal Certificate or equivalent education.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, tax-driven transactions, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in ALF, Microsoft Office Suite, and corporate records management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
