On behalf of DORA Construction , we are seeking a Director of Preconstruction and Planning to join their leadership team. This key role will drive strategic pre-construction initiatives, overseeing projects from inception through planning to successful execution. Reporting to senior leadership, this position requires a seasoned professional to lead budgeting, design development, and stakeholder collaboration while championing innovation and operational excellence across a wide array of projects. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader, passionate about fostering impactful, sustainable solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive preconstruction strategies to optimize project outcomes. Lead teams to deliver high-quality project deliverables and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
• Project Planning : Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives. Conduct feasibility assessments and create detailed schedules and timelines.
• Budget Management : Prepare and manage project proformas, coordinate cost estimates, and identify opportunities for value engineering.
• Procurement Oversight : Oversee the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials to ensure alignment with project schedules and objectives.
• Team Development : Build a collaborative environment by fostering mentorship and supporting the seamless transition of responsibilities across teams.
• Innovation and Problem-Solving : Drive innovations in construction practices, with a particular focus on modular construction, to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Stakeholder Communication : Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project progress and challenges.
• Quality Control : Ensure all preconstruction activities meet company standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
