Responsibilities

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Secretary C will provide administrative support with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who has the ability to take initiative on work tasks as well as demonstrates accuracy, good judgement, and professionalism. This is a dynamic environment requiring superior skills in prioritizing and completing multiple, diverse tasks on time. The Secretary may be required to provide coverage in the absence of other secretaries in the portfolio.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have the following :

  • Grade 12 plus graduate of a recognized office administration / business / secretarial program and / or a combination of education, training and progressively responsible experience required
  • Minimum one year of related secretarial experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
  • Experience in a medical setting would be an asset
  • Demonstrated evidence of administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player
  • Must be self-directed and adept at problem-solving, while working with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer literacy required, including experience and comfort working with Word, Outlook,
  • PowerPoint, internet, e-mail, Photoshop, Adobe writer, Publisher, and other application tools
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • A skill test may be included as part of the selection process.

Hours of Work

Permanent Full-time position; 70 hours biweekly

Salary Information

20.25 - $22.50 hourly
