Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator
Our client, a leading organization in the industrial sector, is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional with a proactive approach to risk management and compliance, particularly within construction or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and oversee HSE programs to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Deliver occupational health & safety training and ensure employees adhere to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and update critical safety documentation, including Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and Job Procedures (SJPs).
- Facilitate Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and liaise with regulatory bodies.
- Track and report on key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Support new employee orientations with a focus on workplace health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience :
2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role within a construction or industrial setting.Strong knowledge of workplace safety laws, regulations, and best practices.National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification preferred.Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with safety management systems.This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated HSE professional to contribute to a strong safety culture within a growing organization.
