Job description

We are seeking an organized and efficient Electrical Engineer to support the design and execution of electrical projects, particularly in the Consumables, Food & Beverage, or Pharmaceutical industry. The role requires expertise in electrical engineering practices for industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare calculations, technical specifications, procurement documents, and project materials.
  • Design and oversee installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and process control.
  • Manage electrical infrastructure projects up to 44kV.
  • Ensure designs conform to applicable codes and client standards.
  • Provide technical supervision and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide client consultations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Experience with industrial HVAC controls and Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Ability to perform trade-off analysis and solve technical problems.
  • Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to client sites.
  • Education and Experience :

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consumables; food, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience in electrical system design and consulting is an asset.
  • Experience with cogeneration and distribution systems is beneficial.
  • Ontario Ministry of Labour Pre-Start Health and Safety Review experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proactive with minimal oversight, and a willingness to train others.
  • Ability to work professionally and travel as needed within Ontario.
