Job Responsibilities :
Collaboration : Work closely with the creative director and leads to conceptualize and execute realistic character FX in Unity game environments.
FX Creation : Generate a diverse range of character FX, encompassing magical spells, combat effects, environmental interactions, and particle systems.
Integration : Ensure seamless integration of character FX with Unity game assets and environments to maintain visual consistency.
Coordination : Coordinate with animation and character design teams to uphold consistency and enhance visual storytelling.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate with artists and developers to deliver high-quality, immersive FX experiences within the game.
Pipeline Development : Contribute to the development and optimization of FX pipelines and tools within Unity.
Trend Awareness : Stay abreast of emerging trends and techniques in game FX design and implementation.
Optimization : Organize and optimize FX files specifically for mobile devices to ensure optimal performance.
Additional Tasks : Perform all other related tasks as required.
Requirements :
Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience in game development or related field, with a specific focus on character FX.
Education : Degree / diploma in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in Unity and experience with Unity's particle systems and shader graph (or Amplify Shader).
FX Principles : Strong understanding of 2D and 3D FX principles, encompassing animation, physics, and visual effects.
Work Style : Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Passion : Genuine passion for gaming and a meticulous eye for detail.
Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to changing requirements.
Portfolio : Please provide a link to your most recent demo reel showcasing character FX work in Unity.
Good to have :
Atlas Packing : Ability to pack atlases efficiently using Texture Packer.
Software Experience : Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
