Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Stack Java and Angular Team Lead to join our clients organization in North York.

This role requires a senior developer with expertise in both backend and frontend technologies, as well as strong leadership skills. You will oversee an agile development team focused on delivering software solutions, backend integrations, feature enhancements, and maintaining a modern IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership and Collaboration :

  • Manage an agile development team, working closely with offshore developers.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to enhance team members’ technical and professional skills.
  • Coordinate cross-team communications and establish task priorities.

2. Software Development :

  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle.
  • Write and debug code using test-driven development (TDD) practices.
  • Perform risk assessments and analyze software performance.

    • 3. Systems Integration :

  • Lead the integration of new software solutions with client systems.
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs to ensure seamless system connectivity.

    • 4. Client Engagement :

  • Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Address support issues and manage escalations effectively.

    • 5. Architecture and Quality Assurance :

  • Participate in architectural discussions and help design robust system solutions.
  • Support system testing and manage deployment processes.

    • 6. Production Support :

  • Provide assistance in resolving production-related issues as needed.

    • Required Qualifications

    1. Technical Expertise :

  • 8+ years of experience with Java development and web-based applications.
  • Proficiency in modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Angular.
  • Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., JMS, AMQ) and web services (SOAP / REST).

    • 2. Cloud and Database Skills :

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Redis, database migration tools, and AWS RDS.

    • 3. Leadership Background :

  • Proven track record of leading agile teams, including offshore collaboration.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members to achieve technical and personal growth.

    • 4. Soft Skills :

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
