Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Director, the Chief Accountant for Transactional Services is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable transactions team. More specifically, he or she will :
Set priorities and ensure that tasks are completed within the expected time frame, and measure results and follow upPerform end-of-month analyses and participate in the reconciliation of year-end reportsPrepare monthly and weekly management reports for management (cash collection report and department performance indicators)Supervise the performance of corporate and compliance activities (taxes, deposits, provisionals, tax returns, etc.)Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of transactional processesEstablish and maintain a relationship with operations and payroll managers to ensure that quality inputs are obtained for the production of financial statements and control of cash managementMake improvements to the period-end process and ensure compliance with the financial statement release scheduleParticipate in the production of financial analyses and dashboards (tools), the budget process and the establishment of cost pricesParticipate in the year-end process and collaborate in the preparation of the year-end auditAct as a resource person for his / her team and managers of departmentQualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 1 year of experience or DEC in accounting with 5 to 7 years of experienceIn-depth mastery of accounting principlesGood leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team membersStrong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectivelyGood command of accounting software and computer toolsDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAdditional information
