I'm looking for a Chief Accountant for my client in Mile-Endl. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode (2 days telecommuting and 3 days in the office).

Your responsibilities :

• Preparation of monthly Distribution financial statements, including underlying analyses
• Prepare annual budget and update financial forecasts
• Assistance with the annual audit of the consolidated financial statements for the Distribution unit
• Preparation and review of distribution and operating reports for industry regulators (e.g. Canadian Media Fund, Telefilm Canada, SODEC, etc.) and rights holders
• Preparation of periodic distribution reports according to distribution agreements;
• Calculate semi-annual royalties due to various industry syndicates, rights holders and investors according to distribution agreements;
• Follow up on royalty payments and respond to audit requests from external parties;
• Oversee the calculation and payment of UDA royalties within the deadlines set out in the collective agreement and broadcast licenses.
• Release of payments to rights holders in relation to the slips issued
• Written and oral communication with external stakeholders regarding distribution activities;
• Update the sales table in partnership with other team members
• Follow-up on production contracts and distribution advances
• Provide, when required, tax forms to international customers.
• University degree in accounting / business administration 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting; experience in distribution an asset
• Knowledge of Excel (Sage accounting software an asset)
• Experience working with Google Suite (an asset)
• Attention to detail, autonomy and initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Spoken and written French and English
