Position Summary
The Accounting Administrator is responsible for supporting the Finance Department of SPLC in all areas including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Responsibilities : 1. Accounting
Processes accounts payable entries for non-account transactions on timely basisMaintains and assists accounts payable modules in accounting databaseProcesses invoices / credits and payments within department guidelineResolve Purchasing and Vendor inquires as required2. Cash Management :
Collects client payments as required, ensures the security of paymentProcess weekly / monthly cheque run & validate the accuracyMaintains donation database and issues tax receiptsEducation :
Completion of Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma in Business, Finance or AccountingExperience & Skills :
Two to three years full cycle of accounting experience or similar roleGood understanding of accounting principles and guidelinesProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and ExcelExperience using accounting systems such as ACCPAC, Great Plains, or QuickBooks softwareAbility to work independently on tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environmentAbility to occasionally work additional hours when required; to meet strict deadlinesOther :
