Position Overview

As a Chief People Officer (CPO), you will serve as a key member of the Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO. This strategic leadership position will require you to collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance organizational effectiveness, drive solutions to complex challenges, and shape the evolution of the company culture. Leveraging a deep understanding of the company's vision and the broader industry landscape, you will align HR strategies with corporate objectives, prioritizing leadership development, talent optimization, and succession planning for critical roles. Additionally, you will work closely with the Board on executive compensation, ensuring alignment with governance best practices and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that people strategies align with business objectives and drive performance
  • Partner with leaders to diagnose business challenges, identify talent solutions, and support organizational change.
  • Foster an agile, problem-solving mindset within the organization, ensuring teams are structured and supported to meet evolving business needs.
  • Lead cultural transformation efforts, ensuring alignment with company values, strategic priorities, and employee expectations.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that enhance engagement, inclusion, and collaboration across the organization.
  • Drive leadership development and coaching to build a resilient, high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the development of workforce planning and talent management strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure that recruitment, onboarding, and career development programs enable business success.
  • Partner with leaders to drive a culture of continuous feedback, performance excellence, and career growth.

Oversight of HR Operations & Total Rewards

  • Provide strategic oversight of HR Operations, Payroll, HRIS, and Compliance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits programs are market-competitive, aligned with business goals, and support talent retention.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to ensure governance, risk management, and compliance with public company requirements.
  • Board & Public Company Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and Compensation Committee on executive compensation, equity programs, and other Board-level people matters.
  • Prepare and present people-related insights and strategic recommendations to the Board.
  • Ensure alignment between shareholder expectations, employee experience, and long-term business success.
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years as a senior HR leader in a publicly traded organization, preferably within financial services or a similarly dynamic and regulated environment.
  • Deep expertise in people strategy, organizational design, and culture-building in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational challenges.
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior executives, influencing and driving strategic people initiatives.
  • Experience working with Boards and Compensation Committees on executive compensation matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
