Reports to : Manager, Project Planning & Scheduling (NSG)
Shift : 14 x 7, 6 x 1, 14 x 14, 12 x 2 depending on project requirements, Days Or Nights
Travel : 100% Travel
Location : Home office located in Edmonton, AB, but work is project-based across Canada (Candidates from Western Canada preferred (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan)
Relocation : This position does not offer relocation.
Responsibilities
- Assembly, maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of industrial mining equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites.
- Test the repaired equipment for proper performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep applicable records.
- Follow all safety rules and lock-out procedures, ensure PPE is worn at all times while on site.
- Work closely with multiple supervisors and team members from varying trades.
- Follow varying shift schedules as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Millwright certification, Red Seal is preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, no restrictions.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit oral and written instructions, and communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of machining tools, hand tools, power tools and measurement tools.
- Ability to travel interprovincially during shift rotation.
- Able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must be able to climb, work at heights (may exceed 200 ft).
- Confined Space work when required
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the project.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
- Prior to offer, all candidates are required to pass a drug and alcohol and fit for work test, and background check.
